Chicken Aviary offers a perfect environment for your hens. We have
created a safe, fox-proof*, dry and bio secure home where your hens can
live a happy, healthy life 24/7. There are many reasons why you might
not be able to allow your chickens to free range (perhaps you work too
late or your veggie garden will be too much of a temptation!). Our
Aviary is the perfect solution to guilt free containment of your hens.
The Aviary pictured has been sited on a solid base
covered with 10cms of woodchip (5 x 80 ltr bags). We have then added
various forms of enrichment including a natural branch for perching up
in the day and on warm summer’s nights, a vegetable spike for cabbage,
corn on the cob, etc. and a dust bath. There is ample room for exercise
but you can still leave the door open for a treat. We have 6 partridge
Wyandotte bantam pullets in our Aviary. We are happy to discuss
stocking levels but ultimately it’s a matter of personal choice. This
house offers good value if you require a house and run with the added
benefit of it being covered.
